Pluraleyes could never export an AFF project file unless you first import a Avid Media Composer AFF also Edius could never export an AFF that could be imported into Pluraleyes as an Avid Media Composer AFF file. Strange how no mention from GV or RG re this workflow posted at Just tested and works with E7.5 and PE 3.5 After that date, Edius host plugins were to be no more. Pluraleyes was acquired by Red Giant in July of 2012. The idea of a kickstarter campaign to raise money for Red Giant to create a plugin has been mentioned and never went forward. Of users asking for the host plugin I bet you would see it. If they are to be believed, many users have said that they sent emails to Red Giant suggesting a host plugin for Edius. But, if sales are poor, the development of the next version's host plugin may be in jeopardy. As long as sales are good, continuing a host plugin will be a no-brainer. It is their responsibility, and not GV's, to pony up the costs of making the plugin. Once again, Red Giant is the company that creates the plugin, not GV. It all comes down to sales numbers and I can't fault them for that.Īt what point is it worth for the company to spend money on R&D time to create a host plugin for an NLE? How many sales do you actually think they will get from Edius users? How many do they need to make money? Red Giant has the SDK and worked with GV to that point but has chosen not to create a host plugin. And COULD explain their reluctance to work with Red Giant on a solution for the current plugin.
